Turnkey Internet Launches Eco-Friendly Hybrid Servers

Turnkey Internet announced the launch of its line of virtual private servers that feature the reliability and performance provided by its dedicated servers yet with enhanced energy efficiency at a more affordable rate. The said servers combine the latest in server hardware with virtualization software by Parallels.

According to the statement released by TurnKey, the optimized resources on their hybrid servers offer performance characteristic of dedicated servers; that is, performance for as many as eight clients on one machine. This allows for peak operation even while utilizing lesser energy for every client. The new setup provides environmentally conscious companies and individuals with the opportunity to obtain high quality web hosting services that also allows for great savings and reducing carbon footprint in the process.

According to TurnKey Internet President and CEO Adam Wills, the hybrid server offers the right balance of performance, reliability and price with the added advantage of being environment friendly. He added that going for a hybrid server in lieu of a dedicated server is much like carpooling. It saves energy while helping you get to wherever you have to be.

In traditional dedicated web servers, there is still a large amount of electricity consumed even when the system is idle.
TurnKey’s new line of servers come in either Linux or Windows. They also come in either free cPanel or Plesk, managed firewall, bare metal off-site backups, system administrative assistances, auditing and monitoring as well as free server migration support.

The new hybrid servers will also be backed by 24/7 premium support which was originally available only to the company’s dedicated servers.
